The Story:
I built this originally to aid with editing in
Finale, a music notation program. Large symphonic scores, even on a
generously-sized monitor, can be quite difficult to see in full
score if set to show all staves.
I subsequently found many
other uses for it, and, no doubt, so will others with old eyes like
mine, as will the visually handicapped. For instance, programmers may find it
handy for a closer look at areas of dense code; and when you're working in an image
editor, it's indispensable.
This was originally available on my personal site, www.DavidSosnowski.com.
But that site gets little traffic, hence moving it here where it will be more readily
available.

ZOOM 1.0 is a screen zooming utility to magnify portions of the
Windows screen.
Use And User Interface:
Zoom 1.0 magnifies any section of the screen beneath the mouse
pointer. Set magnification with the spinner control at upper right.
The Zoom 1.0 window is adjusted by dragging with the mouse at any
edge or corner. (Max size is full screen width, one-half screen
height.)
Double-clicking on the title bar 'rolls up' the application (or
restores it); the top left (icon) button opens a menu with usual
options, plus one to minimize as an icon in the system tray on the
Windows task bar.
Double-clicking the system tray icon brings the application to
the front; right-clicking over the icon opens its menu. The four
buttons on the right side of the title bar are, from left to right:
Minimize To System Tray Icon; Roll-Up Application; Minimize To Task
Bar; and Close.
A run-on-start-up feature is also available by right-clicking on
the system tray icon to access its menu. In this mode, the
application will start each time the system does. Note that
when started in this mode, the application appears on the screen for
a few seconds, then minimizes to the system tray icon.
Thereafter, just click on the icon to bring the application up.

Save the zoom_install.exe file to any spare directory on your hard
drive. Double click on the file to begin installation.
